As part of our ongoing ISO 14001 accreditation and business improvements we have made substantial progress with our Environmentally conscious packaging.

Our primary investment has been in a shredding machine which turns cardboard waste into void fill material. This substantially reduces the need for bubble wrap and polystylrene packaging. This also decreases the amount of waste cardboard that we send for recycling.

We’ve also researched and changed many of our packaging consumables for options which are either fully biodegradable or contain significantly more recylced content than before.
Our biodegradable consumables now include bubble bags, paper tape, document enclosed pouches and disposable gloves.

For example the bubble bags that we now use have a biodradable initiator so that when exposed to warmth, moisture and bacterial colonies they will degrade in landfill at a significantly quicker rate than conventional bubble bags.
These bags also contains a minimum of 30% recyled material and whilst no product is excempt from a carbon footprint, it is at the front end of what is currently commercially available.

As the environmentally friendlier packaging market develops further we hope to make additional improvements whilst maintaining the highest qualities with our products packaging and storage.
